Orthopedics & Spine Surgery
Orthopedics Department
Our Orthopedics Department provides specialized care for bones, joints, ligaments and muscles. From sports injuries and fractures to arthritis and joint replacement, our orthopedic specialists use advanced surgical and non-surgical treatments to restore mobility, reduce pain and help patients return to daily activity with confidence.
Spine Surgery
Our Spine Surgery service evaluates and treats back and neck pain, disc problems and spinal disorders. Care starts with non-surgical options such as physiotherapy, medication and targeted injections. When a nerve is compressed, symptoms continue despite conservative treatment, or there has been a spinal injury, surgery may be advised - including disc surgery, decompression, fusion and minimally invasive procedures where they are appropriate. Spine consultants include Dr. S.S. Kumar and Dr. E. Sathish Balaji.

When Should You See an Orthopaedic Doctor?
Go to Emergency immediately for visible deformity, inability to bear weight after a fall, an open wound over a suspected fracture, sudden loss of sensation or weakness, loss of bladder or bowel control with back pain or a hot, swollen, exquisitely painful joint with fever.
Book an OPD consultation for joint pain lasting more than two to three weeks, knee or hip pain on stairs, back or neck pain radiating into an arm or leg, morning stiffness lasting more than 30 minutes or a shoulder you cannot raise fully.
Knee Replacement: What to Expect
Knee replacement is considered when arthritis has worn the joint surfaces to the point that pain limits daily life and medication, weight management and physiotherapy are no longer enough. Most patients stand with support within a day or two. Physiotherapy is not optional - outcomes correlate directly with how consistently rehabilitation is done. Ask for a written package quote rather than relying on a city-wide range. Our consultants include Dr. S.S. Kumar, Dr. E. Sathish Balaji, Dr. Balamurugan and Dr. Sathyadharan Paneerselvam, supported by in-house physiotherapy.
