I trained and worked in the United Kingdom for a very long time after my medical college education at Madras Medical College, Chennai. I came back to India about three years ago and started working in a leading corporate hospital. The quality of patient care and treatments given were reasonable there, and the money they paid me to work was also affordable. Fortunately or unfortunately, being just OK and reasonable was not good enough for me as I felt that the patients and the treating doctors and other staff working in most of the hospitals deserve better than what they are getting. Some common complaints I hear from many patients is that they don’t always get the best possible advice for their specific problem and the best way to deal with their issues not explained to them and also the preventive aspects of diseases are not disclosed to them appropriately.
A common complaint from doctors and staff working in hospitals is that they don’t get paid enough for the services they offer. I wanted to make a change in whatever way possible with whatever amount of resources I have. I have been discussing this with colleagues and friends, and to my surprise, there were a lot of people wanting to make a change as I wanted. So we decided to work together and start this venture with patients’ needs and wishes at the centre of our project. We are also introducing a clinician only partnership in our business model, who else can do this business better than the caregivers themselves.
We have highly qualified and trained doctors and staff to deal with all Orthopaedic and Spinal problems, with the latest equipment the world has to offer in these fields. We hope to give honest and best advise and treat our patients to the fullest of their satisfaction. – Dr S S Kumar
